Digital Pen Systems provides an end-to-end solution for capturing critical paper form data digitally from the field and wirelessly transmitted securely to your back-office system for immediate access and storage.
- The Pen contains a miniature camera, which transfers x & y coordinates via Bluetooth 128bit SSL encryption to a Blackberry which then routes the document to your back-end system via 3DES encryption – secure end-to-end. There is also the alternative for a hard-wired USB connection to the back-end systems, or both can be deployed together for a comprehensive solution. The pen can hold up to 200 forms and has 8 hours of battery life.
- The forms are your businesses standard forms, customized with especially designed microdots, which capture all of the information 1-to-1, and make the data capture 95+% accurate.
- HP and Oki printers are able to handle the printing of the forms on regular copy paper, so no extra costs associated with buying special paper forms; this also enables version control.

Digital Pen and Paper
The key is a unique pattern of dots printed in the background of each Digital Pen form page. This pattern, recognizable by a small camera on the tip of the Digital Pen, allows the Digital Pen to record the location of each pen stroke on the page as it writes. No special paper is used. Any form template can be used. The pattern and the form can be printed on-demand from a compatible HP or Oki color printer and depending on the application, monochrome printing is allowable.
